The AFDM1080L video inspection microscope combines a high-definition imaging system with motorized optics to bring a new level of versatility and convenience to inspection. This HDMI-equipped microscope is designed to connect directly to your monitor or television, making it ideal for production lines, laboratories, and machine shops. The integrated lens provides an expansive zoom range capable of viewing an entire smartphone with room to spare, then zooming in on individual components. With the continuous auto-focus engaged, you can let the camera handle the focusing while you work. The microscope’s ability to record video and individual images, and the intuitive on-screen controls and measuring tools will make this a truly valuable asset.

Motorized Zoom and Auto-Focus

A key feature of this microscope is its motorized zoom lens. The 1:20 optical zoom range is truly expansive. The wide end can provide an enormous field of view more than 10″ wide. Using the mouse’s scroll wheel, you can zoom in for 20X the magnification to capture minute details. Focus can be set manually, or continuously adjusted using the auto-focus. Selectable ROI (Region of Interest) can be used to point to any area on which you want to focus.

Integrated Software and Recording

Photos and video can be captured and saved directly to Secure Digital media. Essential controls are provided including manual and automatic exposure, white balance, and orientation. A lineup of measurement tools are provided which can be calibrated at any magnification to provide accurate results.

HDMI Display

The microscope can be used with a wide range of HDMI monitors and televisions which support 1080p resolution. The camera’s HDMI output provides 1080p Full-HD resolution with a 60fps frame-rate for smooth motion. All of the necessary controls are displayed on-screen and can be navigated using the mouse.

Supports

By itself, the microscope can be used with 50mm focusing blocks commonly used for single-lens inspection microscopes. The included LED ring light doubles as a 76mm mounting adapter, allowing it to fit the same supports used by our most popular stereo microscopes, including a wide range of table stands, boom stands, and articulating arms.

Illumination

A bright 3W, LED ring light is included which attaches to the microscope to provide even, direct illumination where it’s needed. As with other microscope functions, the illumination level is managed using an on-screen control. The ring light uses 8 high-quality CREE LEDs with a neutral diffusor to provide smooth, bright illumination.
